Etha Inda Williams Yates -- obituary

MRS. ETHAENDA YATES

Ethaenda Williams, daughter of John and Mary Williams, was born December 31, 1843, at Eddyville, Pope County, Ill.; was married to Ben F. Yates, November, 1863; died February 6, 1930. To this union were born ten children, three of whom preceded her in death. Those who survive her are: W. A. Yates, of Elizabethtown, Ill; Mrs. M. J. Goot, of Anna, Ill.; Mrs Georgia Carr, of Carbondale, Ill.; Mrs. Della Jacobs, of Decatur, Ill.; Mrs. Viola Walker, of Kankakee, Ill.; Aaron Yates, of Decatur, Ill.; Rosco Yates, of Golconda.

She is also survived by 37 grandchildren and 66 great grand children, and a host of friends to mourn her death.

She was a member of the Eddyville M.E. Church since early girlhood and the body was interred in the Old Home cemetery at Old Home church.
