Charlotte Lewis

Charlotte Lewis was born about 1849 in Illinois. She is the daughter of Levi and Charlotte "Lottie" (Oxford) Lewis.

I only have one record for her.

In the 1850 Census it states that she is a 7 year old girl living with her family in District 2, Union County, Illinois. I believe that this is transcribed wrong and it actually states that she is 1 years old.

She is not listed as a heir in her father's Probate Record in 1856. This leads me to believe that she died before 1856. In the 1900 Census it is stated that her mother had 9 children and 4 living. When I count they ones I know to be still living then it leads to the conclusion that Charlotte died.
