Louisa Adeline Lewis married William Tripp on August 25, 1842 in Union County, Illinois. He might have died June 13, 1881 ( 60 years old) in Union County, Illinois.

John A. Tripp died 13 Apr 1938, at the home of his son, George Tripp, at Alto Pass, aged 77 years, 6 months, 24 days.  He was born 19 Sep 1860, near Jonesboro, the son of William C. and Louisa (Lewis) Tripp.  He married Lela Postelwate, who preceded him in death.  He was a farmer.  He left a son, George Tripp; one brother, J. C. Tripp, of Anna; one sister, Emma McCloud, of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
